Transitioning to Running Shoes

Hi. This is Joe Tatta, Physical Therapist, helping you to move towards better health. Today we are talking about transitioning to minimalist running shoes. When you running a shoe like this, you are supposed to have a different gate pattern or a different running pattern. Your traditional sneaker has a “rise”. The “rise” is the difference in height between the heel of the sneaker and the toe. Research shows that this might not be the best type of sneaker to walk or run with. In this video, I offer two (2) solutions to how you are going to transition from the traditional sneaker to the minimalist running shoe.
