Why this course?

How Pain Education and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain can enhance your practice

The management of chronic pain continues to be an unmet need in the United States and around the world.  In order to meet this global burden, practitioners must be able to assess and treat pain taking into consideration the multidimensional nature of the pain experience.

Current evidence suggests that when healthcare providers are up-to-date on the latest pain science and educate their patients, they are able to treat pain more effectively. This more comprehensive biopsychosocial approach has been demonstrated to improve outcomes and enhance quality of life.
